Marine Electronics Laboratory

The Marine Electronics Laboratory provides electromagnetic field measurement services for OHS and environmental protection purposes. These measurements are performed based on applicable regulations and standards for which the Laboratory has been certified by the Polish Centre for Accreditation. 
 

The Laboratory offers the following services:

• measurements for occupational health and safety (OHS) purposes:
    radio communication and radio navigational aid apparatus:
    marine radars, radio-location stations,
    communication devices, e.g. MF/HF radio systems, VHF/UHF portable radios, transmitters,
    radio beacons,
    communication devices used on ships, in buildings, in vehicles, and portable devices (wearable),
    VHF/UHF base stations, mobile communication base stations,
    telemetric data transmission stations,
    wireless links,
    measuring and testing stations for radio-communication and radio-location devices,
   
• medical equipment:
    surgical devices, e.g. lancetron instruments, surgical and vascular diathermy,
    physiotherapeutic devices used in rehabilitation clinics,
    low-frequency devices, e.g. magnetronics, Magner, etc.,
    high-frequency devices, for example, short-wave diathermy,
    microwave diathermy,
    diagnostic devices, i.e. MRI scanners,
   
• industrial equipment:
    power installations, transformer stations, main power supply stations,
    induction furnaces, hardening equipment,
    heaters, induction heaters,
    EDMs,
    generators, HF generators e.g. 27.12 MHz,
    industrial sealers, e.g. resistive, capacitive sealing machines, etc.,
    welders,
    demagnetisers,
    flaw detectors,
    magnetic sieves, magnetic separators,
   
• laboratory instruments:
    microwave mineralisers,
    microwave reactors,
    microwave sterilisers,
    inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometers (ICP-MS),
    NMR spectrometers, microwave ovens,
    laboratory furnaces,
   
• and other non-standard devices:
    measurements of electromagnetic fields in the environment, e.g. from:
          ‐  radio-location installations,
          ‐  radio-communication installations,
          ‐  power installations.

Accredited electromagnetic field measurements are carried out in the range from 0 Hz to 60 GHz using the following measuring instruments:
NBM-520, EMR-300C, ESM-100, SMS-102, MEH-25.

Our measuring equipment is subject to regular calibration at an accredited laboratory.
 

Laboratory accreditation

The Marine Electronics Laboratory is accredited by the Polish Centre for Accreditation, No. AB 848. The accreditation confirms that the Laboratory complies with the requirements of the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018-02 standard in relation to the test methods included within the scope of accreditation.
