About the Crew

The Survey Infrastructure Laboratory is a specialised unit of the Maritime Institute at the Maritime University in Gdynia, the main task of which is to take charge of the survey and measurement equipment. The Laboratory services, inspects, and repairs the Institute’s measurement gear, ensuring its operational efficiency and readiness for operation in demanding marine environments. We have a wide range of equipment for measuring and researching the marine environment, including dozens of specialized tools such as probes and underwater vehicles.

The Measurement Infrastructure Workshop also has an electronics and mechanical workshop where repairs, modifications, and adaptations of equipment for research and commercial projects are performed. Thanks to the technical resources and skills, the crew is able to respond to unusual project requirements, adapting equipment to specific needs and challenges.
